Our Core Values
–We are COMMITTED to the BIBLE: “The Bible is the Word of God and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine and conduct”. We believe in the authority of the Bible to guide our path, purpose, programs and productivity. [Joshua 1:8; Joshua 23:6; Psalm 119:9 & 11; Isaiah 40:8; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12-13]
–We DESIRE to be a people of PRAYER: Prayer is our ongoing connection with God. We want to continually be conscious of praise and prayer moment by moment. We desire our prayers to be authentic, cathartic, and joyful in both our speaking and our listening. [Daniel 9:4-19; Psalms; Matthew 6:5-15; John 17; Acts 4:23-31; 1 John 5:14]
–We CHERISH WORSHIP & MUSIC: We have many gifts of worship and music (styles, instruments, and voice), and we want to encourage and enjoy those gifts. We want to develop a culture of invitation and grooming in areas of music and worship. [Psalm 100; Psalm 150; John 4:21-24; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 12:28-29]
–We ENJOY and CARE for our Church FELLOWSHIP: We don’t just share pews once a week, we share our lives with each other. We receive accountability and guidance from each other, our leadership and the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC). We enjoy our ECC partnership. [Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:10-16; Galatians 5:13; Ephesians 4:32; Philippians 2:1-2; Hebrews 10:24; 1 John 1:3-11, 23]
–We BELIEVE that KINDNESS & FAITHFULNESS are essential: We live well together even though we don’t see eye to eye on everything. We extend grace in differing opinions while striving to stay true to God. [Romans 12:18; Romans 14:1-12, Romans 15:5-7; 1 Corinthians 10:23-33; Galatians 6:10]
–We LOVE across GENERATIONS: Our church is made rich because we truly have every generation in our church, and we enjoy and live well in that reality. [Joshua 4:6; Psalm 78:5-6; Psalm 145:4-6; Galatians 6:10]
–We VALUE CHILDREN & YOUTH: We recognize the joy and necessity of guiding children to faith in Jesus. We want youth to know that “following Jesus will make your life better and make you better at life”.
